Madrid was AMAZING! I went with my friend from CU, Michelle (picture below), and her three roommates she is living with in Barcelona.

We rented an apartment right in the center of town. The first day we explored Madrid and their central park, where we checked out the crystal palace (Picture below). There are several crystal palaces in Europe, they are architectural structures influenced by the glass and iron structural techniques that were admired in World fairs.

We went to the San Miguel Market a bunch, which is essentially 20 different food stands along with different bars and wineries; and it is all jam packed of people! This is a very well known place and the food is unreal, if you ever make it to spain, make sure you go!

On our second night we went to an authentic Paella restaurant and then to a Flamenco show. It is funny how different their culture is in Spain.
